North Staffs Advanced Drivers & Riders (NSADR) is a registered charity based in Stoke-on-Trent, formed in 1966 to promote road safety. We are a group of enthusiastic volunteers supported by IAM RoadSmart. NSADR partners with Ken Jervis Kia, Staffordshire Fire & Rescue, and Staffordshire Safer Roads to help deliver our mission of improving road safety in the community.

What We Do
- Provide coaching towards IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) accreditation for advanced driving & riding assessments
- Conduct advanced driving & motorcycle riding sessions using Police-standard techniques
- Offer free no-obligation taster sessions so you can see what training feels like
- Meet regularly in Stoke-on-Trent and cover locations across Staffordshire

Our group is powered by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about improving road safety across Staffordshire. National Observers play a vital role in helping drivers and riders build real-world skills.
Free Taster Session
During your free taster session, one of our friendly Observers will introduce you to key skills and techniques that are necessary to become an advanced driver or rider.
They’ll also be happy to answer any questions you have about the full course. Everyone is welcome.

To all IAM rider members. you can have a check ride at any time (arranged with your Observers)… I had a fab check ride yesterday, covering the motorway, travelling on bends, figure of 8 and other practical tips.
