I’m delighted to have joined this fantastic group. I completed the Advanced Drivers Course in 2024 and passed with a First in November. Throughout the journey, I received outstanding support and mentoring from my Observer, Mike Morris, and felt genuinely encouraged by everyone in the group.

The experience was so positive that I’ve now chosen to continue my journey by joining the Observers National Programme. A huge thank you to everyone at NSADR for making me feel so welcome and inspired to take the next step.

I recently completed the advanced driving course with NSADR, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. The assessment was detailed and comprehensive, covering a wide range of road types and driving scenarios. It really pushed me to develop my skills and grow in confidence behind the wheel.

I’d like to give special thanks to NSADR and my National Observer, Sharon, whose guidance and support were instrumental. Her dedication and the genuine interest shown by all the Observers helped ensure that my driving met the highest possible standards.

Completing the course at just 18 years old has given me a solid foundation for safe, capable, and efficient driving. The IAM training has shaped my mindset on the road and provided skills I’ll carry forward for life.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with my National Observer, Mike, who recognised my potential and guided me through every step of the course. Thanks to his support—and the structure of the NSADR programme—I achieved a FiRST.

The sessions didn’t just help me pass; they genuinely transformed my driving style for the better. A big thank you to NSADR for such a rewarding and impactful experience.

Two years ago, I would’ve rated myself a pretty good driver—maybe 8 out of 10. But like many, I avoided reverse parking, disliked driving at night, and found myself frustrated with slower drivers. I thought that was just part of getting older.

That changed when I visited the North Staffordshire Advanced Drivers and Riders (NSADR) stand at the Trentham car show in September 2023. I took up the offer of a trial session—and what a wake-up call! I quickly realised my skills had slipped, and I hadn’t really updated my driving approach since I passed my test in 1973. My honest reassessment: 2 out of 10.

Joining NSADR turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. The one-to-one coaching, evening drives, logbook guidance, recommended videos, and finally passing the assessment in April 2024 made the journey incredibly rewarding.

Now, both hands stay on the wheel unless I’m changing gear or signalling. I understand limit points, cornering safely, reverse parking, and using the IPSGA system to drive smoothly and safely. Most importantly, my confidence is back—and I genuinely enjoy every drive, even at night. I’m constantly assessing and improving, aiming for that perfect drive.

Best of all, I had fun and met a wonderful group of like-minded people along the way. I wholeheartedly recommend NSADR to anyone looking to become a better, safer driver.
